Henry, Jessie, Violet and Benny are four kids on an adventure to run away from a grandfather they have never met when their parents have somehow died. All they seem to know about their grandfather is that he didn't like their mother and never came to visit them. So they believe he doesn't like them at all.

over this past summer, my family and I had to drive from the Chicago area to Ohio various times to attend to family matters. To make the drive a little less monotonous, I went to the library to find some books to share with my six-year-old daughter during the trip. At the time, I had heard lots of approval for The Boxcar Children Series.
